DIVERSION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
A518 WESTON ROAD, STAFFORD
NOTICE is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of A518. Weston Road in Stafford from its junction with Blackheath Lane island to its junction with A513 Beaconside island unless the vehicle is being used in connection with the works; or is being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes. Access to Staffordshire Police HQ and other frontages between Weston and Veritas Academy will be permitted from the direction of Weston only. Access from the Stafford and A513 Beaconside direction will not be maintained. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
An alternative route for traffic is available via A513 Beaconside, A34 Stone Road, A34 Stafford Road, A51 Stone Bypass, A51 Lichfield Road, A51 Butterhill Bank, A51 Lichfield Road, A51 London Road, A518 Stafford Road, A518 Weston Bank,

The order will come into operation on 23 October 2017 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 October 2017.
The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, or until the kerb line re-alignment on the central reservation at Veritas Academy entrance works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
