2024/25 Admission Information for September 2024

Thank you for your interest in a place in our school for September 2024. We want to provide you with as much information as we can to help you decide if you want to make an application for September. We are therefore hosting an Open Morning for prospective parents on Thursday 6th June where key staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to show you around our facilities. There will be two sessions:

9.30am - 10.15am for Nursery places

10.30am - 11.15am for Y1-Y6 places

We have set a deadline to receive all applications by Monday 10th June. Please download the relevant application form and email it to office@veritasprimaryacademy by this date. If you are planning to move your child from another Staffordshire school you must get Section 4 of this application form completed by the Head Teacher of their current school before submitting this to us. If this section is not complete it may delay your application being processed.

Once the deadline has passed we will be ranking applications according to our admissions criteria as set out in our Admissions Policy and offers of places will be emailed to parents by Friday 14th June.

What happens next for Y1-Y6 pupils?

After your child is offered a place and this is accepted, they will be will be invited to attend our Transition Day on Wednesday 3rd July to spend the day in their new class with their new teacher before the summer holidays. This is a great opportunity to make new friends, get to know their new teacher and familiarise themselves with their new school.

What happens next for Nursery pupils?

After your child is offered a place and this is accepted, you will receive an appointment for a Home Visit by our Nursery staff. These will take place during the first week in September so the team have the most up-to-date information about your child, and your child can get to know our staff in a relaxed and familiar environment. Following this they will be invited to attend some settling in sessions during the second week of term to help support their transition to our setting. We anticipate that after these initial two weeks, your child will be able to attend their agreed sessions however this can be discussed at the time if your child needs more support to begin with.
